REFLECTION
This was quite a journey! My mind has been just stimulated with so many amazing bits of new information and technology integration. I have not quite fully recovered from all that I have seen! It seemed that with each new CUE course, ideas rushed around in my head, causing more overload and less productive completion of this task. Sometimes, too much of a good thing is too much! That being said, I decided to work on designing a site that I would personally find helpful, hoping that other teacher would as well. This is only a beginning, but I've tried to lay the framework for a "working" site that invites collaboration and sharing of resources and information. As I complete Electives through the summer, I plan to build on what I've started here and share with teachers in my District. I want to create a space that we can discuss and "steal" ideas. It seems that teachers are often tasked with creation of resources, so why not have a place to "give-one-get-one", especially when we are teaching from the same curriculum. As I recall, just a few short years ago, I was a new teacher; I feel that new teachers are the most stretched for ideas. This could be a place that they can go for inspiration as they begin their teaching journey.
I am very excited about this potential of this site and I believe that it can have profound impact on learning and engagement in the classroom.

THINK TANK: 11/23/17: I've been thinking about and researching some possibilities for Project ideas and I keep coming back to developing some sort of community for students, parents, and educators. I attended the recent CMC Math Conference in Palm Springs and, while attending Tracy Johnston Zager's workshop, she talked about an acronym: D.R.E.A.M. I LOVE acronyms!! I want to create a D.R.E.A.M. Team using some format such as: PLAY:DATE, Google Hangouts, Google Classroom, FlipGrid, etc. where collaborators may get together to: DRop Everything And Math ! I would love to have students helping other students; parents chatting with other parents; and, educators sharing ideas for technology and math integration for empowering our learners.
