Tokyo Skytree

The Tokyo Skytree is the second tallest structure in the world, the first being the Burj Khalifa. Designed by Nikken Sekkei and open since 2012, it stands at a height of 634 meters (2,080 feet). The first letters of the Japanese readings of 6, 3, and 4 spell out "Musashi", a former name of the Skytree's region, now called Sumida. The Skytree is a broadcasting and communications tower and allows tourists to ascend to two observatories at 350 m and 450 m (for reference, the Chicago Sears Tower's observation deck is about 412 m high).
