winter fun

Ohayo Gozaimasu!

Sensei to Sensei: I can see the parking lot from my room.

Sensei to Sensei: I can even see the bus from my room.

Sensei to Sensei: Did you know the students all have rooms facing the woods and can see the stream?

Sensei to Sensei: That's really nice. The students deserve to have a beautiful view! They've really worked hard for this trip.

Started the day in a steaming outdoor rotemburo bath, facing the hillside of snow-covered trees with a stream winding below, snow falling on our heads as our bodies are heated in steamy water, contemplating our time in Japan -- sigh. The baths open at 5am every morning, and close at midnight. Some of us were in the baths late at night and again early in the morning. And after snow-shoeing, And before lunch. And after snow-ball fighting. And before dinner. And after dinner. Well, not all those times for every person, but some in our group were in the baths at all of those times.

The beautiful buffet breakfast had so many choices that the combinations chosen by our group varied greatly. Guess who had which meal?

Snow-shoeing in groups throughout the day:

Afternoon ride up the mountain at Towada-ko Ski Resort for some snow fun including 雪合戦 snow ball fights and 波動拳 (see below)
