Our vision in creating these materials is to see deaf students play an integral and integrated role in English language learning and development in the Ministry of Public Education in Costa Rica
Our mission is to support English teachers in the Ministry of Public Education in Costa Rica so that they have the knowledge, skills, awareness and resources to create an environment in which all deaf students feel welcome, valued and included in all English classes and all deaf students have access to information and resources so that they can fully engage in learning English in all English classes.
Purpose of these materials is to serve the learning and teaching needs of Costa Rican English teachers in the Ministry of Public Education by raising awareness of and respect for deaf culture, providing access to knowledge, skills and stances that will support teachers in their teaching so that we can achieve inclusion in our Costa Rican English classrooms.
