Thank you to the parent council for organising the silent disco.
Everyone had a fantastic time and were gutted when it finished!
Thanks to everyone who came along to the numeracy open morning on Tuesday. The children were excited to share in their learning of 3D objects.
Adam C - I like building the 3D objects because it improves building skills.
Keir - I am really good at maths and my dad helps me a lot with some of the tasks I had to do. It was nice to show my dad around the classroom.
Elena - I made a cube and a square based pyramid. We stuck the straws and playdoh together.
Some new books were bought for the class which caused much excitement!
The class has been enjoying exploring the new books all week.
Olly - I loved the new books because I love reading the Wimpy Kid books and I have one at home.
Lara - I love the new books because I love reading. I started reading George's Marvellous last night and I am further than the class is.
Keir - I really like the new books because I like reading and looking at the pictures.
Elena - I love reading books because they are just really good and I just love reading.
P3 have been exploring more of the rights of the child this week.
Following on from our Class Charter, we selected one of the other rights and created a shield. Just like a shield protects from harm, children rights are a protection to help children have a full and happy life.
P3 went for a shape hunt to identify 3D shapes in the school environment. We found LOADS!
In class, we have been learning the names of common 3D shapes, and even learned what a Toblerone is!
Some of us have been learning the properties of 3D shapes.
This week P3.1 have been working on rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and numbers before and after.
Inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, P3 were challenged to build a tower using resources in the classroom.
They produced some fantastic towers demonstrating good team work and communication.
