On Friday, we had our first visit to the Innovation Station! Thanks to Mrs Harvey's hard work, this space is ready for classes to discover new books and collaborate with their school committees.
Each week, we take on a Pink Target Task! Unlike our daily Red and Blue Target Tasks, this one gives us the entire week to plan, gather materials and complete it to the best of our ability.
This week, our challenge was to create an autumn-themed artwork, inspired by what we discovered in the Nature Garden.Â
Safe to say we loved it!Â

Please ask us about this at home. Here are some questions to prompt discussion:Â
'The witch had a cat and a very tall hat and long ginger hair that she wore in a plait.' Can you show me the actions for this?Â
How did you change the story during innovation week with the teacher? Was there a monster involved?
When you invented your own story, what character did you use instead of a witch and a cat?

Some of us decided to challenge ourselves by exploring standard units of measurement, like centimetres and metres. We took metre sticks and rulers everywhere with us!
Here's what we did to measure using non-standard units of measurement:
We measured objects both indoors and outdoors, gathering same-sized items to align with the object's length, making sure there were no gaps. We counted the items, compared lengths with other objects, and arranged them from longest to shortest and tallest to smallest.Â
