We were lucky enough to be invited along to the gym hall to watch this year's pantomime performance of Pinocchio!
It was a wonderful show and we were a great audience!
Explore our story maps and sentence writing inspired by the popular fiction tale Stick Man!
Now that we’ve learned letter formation, we’ll focus on letter size, shape and direction. We begin with the letters c, a, d, g, and o, as they all start with a ‘c’ shape. First, we practised independently using glitter trays, then moved on to writing them in our jotters.
An independent sorting activity, inspired by a group of pupils who were exploring what 3D shapes could stack to make a tower!
Exploring 2D and 3D Shapes!
We're learning to identify different shapes and their properties while incorporating this knowledge into other areas of the classroom, such as woodworking and construction activities.
We are word building! We have covered all of our single sounds in Primary 1 and whilst we work through our digraphs, we are learning to use our sounds to spell words independently.
This is something we can practise at home, in the car or walking to school!
Just ask me what sounds I can hear in words and I will show you how I stretch the word out, break down the sounds and identify what letters make those sounds.
