What has been done in the past week
Bought materials for prototype. This prototype will be used for next week risk reduction presentation
Design completed for the Spar and base
Derive the flow and wave equation (underwater motion)
Risk Reduction Presentation for professor T.
Feedback from meeting with sponsor
Await on email for the water temp data and wave/current data from sponsor to create a simulation
Design feedback. Sponsor liked the updated design. A couple changes need to be made, but nothing too big.
Feedback from last meeting with instructor
Look into the different PVC/plastic pipes
Instructor hinted to find better cost effective companies for PVC pipes and plumbing material. In doing so, teammates went to Homedepot and found proper materials. Due to COVID, it was hard to find plumbing supply stores that's open. Therefore, in the next couple of weeks, the team will find better suppliers in the area once stores begin to open up.
List your current concern according to the importance
Risk reduction presentation
Assure that the FEA analysis is correct and FEA analysis makes sense.
Analyze how well Spar and connectors hold the different section together
Analyze how each components are able to connect joints and respond to force
Find proper equations in relation to our design (flow and wave)
What is the next step of your project
