Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Decided on riskiest component of design, being the air bearing
Started buying parts to build an air bearing prototype
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Found average pushing force of a mice
Preformed analysis of different designs
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Build risk reduction prototype - Michal
Put together risk reduction presentation - Jeffrey, David, Phillip
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Both sponsors were satisfied with a disk track on top of an air bearing
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Instructor told us to make an encoder to use on the track. Research was done on an optical mouse encoder since this is already being implemented in other designs.
