Year 7-7 (2024/2025)
In a recent outing to Quest, our students got to put their books aside for the day and just have some fun — with plenty of laughs, good vibes, and memories made along the way. Although I must admit, I got in on the action too and had my fair share of fun right alongside them!
Leen and Yasmine were full of excitement, bouncing around like they’d had three too many energy drinks, their laughter contagious as they dove into every activity with more enthusiasm than a kid in a candy store!
Karim, Omer, and Omar — the three musketeers, as I’d call them — were up to their usual mischief, always ready for the next laugh and challenge. With their infectious energy and endless schemes, they kept themselves entertained, even if not everyone was in on the joke!
7-7 girls, aka 'The Dragons,' totally owned the laser tag arena. With the precision of a dragon aiming fireballs, they swooped in, dodging, tagging, and laughing all the way. I’m pretty sure they were plotting world domination between rounds, but for now, they’ll settle for laser tag bragging rights!
The calm before the (laser) storm — the girls showing they were just as excited for the fun ahead as they were for the challenge. All fun, friendship, and a little bit of fierce.
The excitement kicked off the moment the boys piled onto the bus, ready for their Quest adventure. The boys couldn’t contain their energy, chattering non-stop about the fun ahead. From jokes to high-fives, every moment of the bus ride felt like part of the adventure itself. The excitement wasn’t just about reaching Quest—it was about the journey, the laughs, and the shared anticipation of what was to come.
The boys brought their usual mix of energy and charm—some striking poses, others sharing a laugh, all clearly excited for what was ahead. It was one of those simple moments that showed their personalities perfectly: confident, playful, and enjoying the day together, (not sure why I was the target).
As I walked around, trying to catch a few photos, I quickly realized I was no match for their speed! It was like trying to snap pictures of lightning—each one of them darted off to their next big adventure before I could even blink! Keeping up was clearly going to be the real challenge.
7-7 boys stood proudly holding the Qatari flag on Sports Day. They were full of energy, team spirit, and pride — a great moment to remember.
The girls had a blast playing subsoccer, showing off their moves and working together as a team. There were plenty of laughs, great passes, and some awesome goals. It was all about fun and enjoying the game!
Omar might’ve just been playing table tennis, but judging by the look on his face, you'd think it was the Olympic finals. Focused, tense, and ready for action—he gave it everything he had. Whether he won or not, that intensity was unmatched!
Sara lit up the subsoccer match with her big smile and great energy. She played with heart, had fun every second, and reminded everyone that the best part of the game is enjoying it. Winning? That was just a bonus!
During our empowered lesson, students took part in the Hour of Code, a fun introduction to computer programming. It gave them a chance to explore how coding works through interactive games and puzzles. It wasn’t just about typing lines of code; it was about problem-solving, creativity, and thinking like a programmer.
Shoutout to our four tech wizards who powered through their Hour of Code like pros! With focus, determination, and maybe a few cheeky keyboard taps, they cracked the code and proved they’ve got the brains to back up the banter.
A handful of students took centre stage during Literature week, proudly showing off their character-inspired outfits. It was a fun and lively way to bring their favourite stories into the real world—thank you to those who dressed up and added a spark of magic to the day!
A few of our girls truly brought Book Day to life with their colourful and creative costumes. From brave adventurers to beloved fantasy characters, each outfit reflected their unique personalities and favourite stories. Their enthusiasm lit up the classroom and reminded us how fun reading—and dressing up—can be!
The boys kept it laid-back this Literature Week, with Abdulaziz bringing a touch of tradition and the others just enjoying the moment. It was all about celebrating stories and having a laugh—no costumes needed, just good vibes and even better company.
Mariam Al Kaabi truly embraced her inner Hulk this Literature Week—decked out in green and rocking a mask so scary, it could probably frighten the Hulk himself. To top it off, she brought a little gun (because why not?). It wasn’t quite smashing things, but it definitely made us laugh and gave “strength” a whole new meaning. Watch out—she might just turn green in the classroom!
Leen Musa went full Hermione Granger this Literature Week, and it was honestly a spot-on choice. With her brains, determination, and a look that says, “I know the answer to every question,” she definitely had us all convinced she might be hiding a Time-Turner in her bag. We half expected her to raise her hand and correct us on the spot!
Deep in thought and full of curiosity, the girls work together to solve a Pi-themed crossword puzzle — proving that math isn’t just about numbers, but also teamwork, creativity, and a bit of fun. A snapshot of learning in action!
Proud moments captured — Ahmed Shahin, Leen Musa, Leen Shayah, and Lamar Al-Barghouthi celebrate their achievement with well-earned math certificates in hand. A testament to their problem-solving skills, persistence, and love for numbers. Here's to a year of equations, effort, and excellence!
Leading up to Sports Day, we spent some time in our empowered lesson talking about the importance of exercise—both for our bodies and minds. It was all about understanding how staying active can boost our health, energy, and even focus in class. When Sports Day finally arrived, everyone was ready to put that knowledge into action, showing off their strength, stamina, and team spirit. The energy in the air was contagious, and it was amazing to see theory turned into practice.
On top of that, Hatem and Malek shared a great recipe for a healthy diet, explaining its benefits for energy, focus, and overall well-being—proof that fueling our bodies right makes all the difference. Meanwhile, Mariam and Leen created an energizing chant that got everyone excited and motivated. Their creativity helped bring the class together, showing that success isn’t just about physical performance, but also about mindset and teamwork.
It was a perfect mix of physical, mental, and team-driven effort, making Sports Day an unforgettable experience for all!
Students Ahmed Shahin, Taqieldien Ismail, and Mohamed Wahib were standout performers at a competitive school tournament that featured 15 participating schools. Their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship truly set them apart and brought pride to our school.
