Today we started off our morning with a long walk at Hospital Hill to rewind and relax. We walked 5 miles! It was a gorgeous day out to walk through nature trails and take in the views. We saw a few people on our walk who were very friendly and in a good mood which made us think that whenever you are on a walk people are more friendly and nice because they are in a good mood! This gave us the idea to do some research on this component! Overall this walk was very relaxing and helped clear our minds for a bit.Â
We met with Dr. Worthley at 12:00 to talk about our project and the progress that we have made. We then went on a light jog around town for about 20 minutes and treated ourselves to a starbucks drink after. We then worked at Starbucks to update our blog for a little bit!
Thursday & Friday May 8th and 9th
For these two days we worked on the resource page. We looked for websites, articles, and videos to display, showing effects and providing more information on our activities we've tried throughout our time with the project. These two days we looked deeply into the how's and why's of why mindfulness has a great effect on our mental health and well being. Go check it out!!
