January 31st, 2025- Ownership is declared on the Google Form. Please Note: Except newborn lambs.

FAIR ENTRY DEADLINE
March 15th, 2025 by 11:59 PM- via a Google Form (Instructions on how to enter will be made available prior to deadline.)
FAIR CHECK-IN DATE:
Monday, April 21st, 2025- 7:00 AM- 9:00 AM and then from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM
Animals cannot be left at the fairgrounds without being checked in. If you have an emergency, be sure to contact the Project Coordinator immediately.
SHEEP EXHIBITOR MEETING:
Monday, April 21st, 2025- following Check-In. Location TBA

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025; 9:30am

Old Pueblo Hall Exhibits required for ALL projects by ALL Pima 4-H County Fair Exhibitors.
Those showing at the 2025 Pima County Fair must enter an exhibit into OPH that is related to their fair project. For those with multiple fair projects, please select one project to represent in OPH. Each individual showman should be creating their own exhibit for OPH based on their individual project. Exhibits can include posters (22"x28" or smaller), photography, baking, welding, etc. feel free to get creative with these exhibits. This excludes FFA members.
A. All registration papers and/or stamped duplicates must be checked in with the Project Coordinator or Superintendent at fair check-in.
B. Commercial ewes must have a Scrapies ID tag. Registered ewes must be ear tagged, and have ownership papers that must be checked in with the Project Coordinator or Superintendent at fair check-in.
C. At the time of arrival at the livestock Barn, animal must be visually inspected by project coordinator or superintendent prior to penning, if the animal is deemed of questionable health, the on-call veterinarian will be requested to make the final decision as to whether or not the animal in question shall be removed from the fairgrounds or allowed to remain and participate in the show.
D. Ear Tags on each animal must match those on the papers and they must be legible. All animals must be registered in the exhibitor’s name or have a lease paper on file with the Project Coordinator by ownership deadline of January 31st, 2024.
E. The exhibitor must provide proof of ownership as per the Arizona State Livestock Board requirements (State of AZ Seasonal Pass ONLY). Ownership and registration papers must be in the exhibitor’s name or have a lease paper on file with the Project Coordinator and must be presented at time of registration.
F. Lambs born after the ownership deadline must be the offspring of a ewe recorded as a 4-H or FFA member’s project and must be in that exhibitor’s name.
G. All lambs born after the ownership deadline must be ear tagged and registered via Google Form with the Project Coordinator by March 15th, 2024.
H. No rams will be shown, only those under three months of age will be allowed to be penned.
I. Exhibitors will not be given extra pens for wethers or baby rams.
J. See Project Coordinator for pen assignments.
K. All ewes must have freshened (lambed) by 24 months of age, to be eligible to be shown in a breeding class.
L. A $10.00 project fee (per animal) benefiting the Breeding Sheep Project will be charged at the time of ear tagging.

CLASS 1: JUNIOR EWES (NEVER FRESHENED)

c) – 6 months to under 9 months
d) – 9months to under 12 months
e) – 12 months to under 18 months
f) – 18 months to under 24 months
CLASS 2: SENIOR EWES (HAVE FRESHENED)

a) – Less than 2 years
b) – 2 to 3 years
c) – 3 to 4 years
d) – 4 to 5 years
e) – 5 years and older
