Com o fim desse semestre, nós finalizamos nossos projeto e nos divertimos muito!
MONDAYS: MUSIC CLASS
As a continuation of the project, students learned the lyrics of the chosen songs “Shake it off”, “Cups: When I’m gone” and “What makes you beautiful” with the help of fun activities such as karaoke and dance games. The educators helped in the process of understanding the lyrics of the songs, expanding the repertoire with new words and practicing listening. Afterwards, it was time to watch the original video clips of the songs to be inspired in the creation of the new videos.

With all the ideas raised, planning, choreographies and rehearsals, the recordings started with great excitement.
Como continuação do projeto, os estudantes aprenderam as letras das músicas escolhidas “Shake it off”, “Cups: When I’m gone” e “What makes you beautiful” com o auxílio de atividades divertidas como karaokê e jogos de dança. Os educadores auxiliaram no processo de compreensão da letra das músicas, ampliando o repertório com novas palavras e praticando o listening. Depois, foi a hora de assistir aos videoclipes originais das canções para se inspirar na criação dos novos vídeos.

Com todas as ideias levantadas, planejamento, coreografias e ensaios, iniciaram as gravações com muita empolgação.

TUESDAYS: YOUTUBE PROJECT
Mais um Youtube Project a todo vapor!
Depois de alguns encontros, decidimos nos dividir em subgrupos a partir de interesses específicos dos estudantes e definimos que os três temas seriam: Gameplay Roblox, Gameplay Among Us e Mexican Soup Opera. Então começamos o processo criativo de pensar sobre o tema, escrever coletivamente o script e decidir o figurino. Juntamos todas as grandes ideias e iniciamos os ensaios e as gravações!
Depois de muita dedicação, diversão e trabalho em grupo, temos a alegria de estrear o Youtube Project desse semestre!

After some meetings, we decided to divide ourselves into subgroups based on the students' specific interests and defined that the three themes would be: Gameplay Roblox, Gameplay Among Us and Mexican Novels. Then we started the creative process of thinking about the theme, collectively writing the script and deciding on the costume. We put all the great ideas together and started rehearsing and recording!
After a lot of dedication, fun and group work, we are happy to debut this semester's Youtube Project!

WEDNESDAYS: BODY PROJECT: FRANKENSTEIN
In our Body Project, we enrich our vocabulary of the human body through recordings and drawings of body parts, it's characteristics, clothes, accessories, and the bone system.

Initially, we had the objective of building a big Frankenstein so that we could fix the words learned, but this idea turned into the production of a small book of studies, inspired by the investigations of Doctor Frankenstein. This little book contained a photo of each of the students, and a drawing of their bones. We also used creativity to create a song to apprehend the names of the bone system.

We ended the semester with the collective construction of the different systems of the human body and the presentation of the functioning of each one.
Em nosso Body Project, enriquecemos nosso vocabulário de corpo humano através de registros e desenhos de partes do corpo, suas características, roupas, acessórios, e o sistema ósseo.

Inicialmente tínhamos o objetivo de construir um grande Frankenstein para que pudéssemos fixar as palavras aprendidas, porém essa ideia se transformou na produção de um pequeno livro de estudos, inspirado nas investigações do doutor Frankenstein. Este livrinho continha a foto de cada um dos estudantes, e o desenho de seus ossos. Utilizamos também a criatividade para criar uma música para apreensão dos nomes do sistema ósseo.

Finalizamos o semestre com a construção coletiva dos diferentes sistemas do corpo humano e a apresentação do funcionamento de cada um.
THURSDAYS: COMIC BOOKS
BOOM!
In this quarter, we started the process of creating characters, choosing the name, background and personality individually, where each student drew and wrote their own protagonist. Then it was time to arrange a meeting between all these incredible characters and form working groups to collectively produce a comic book. We know about the structure of a comic, types of bubble speech and much more!
We made drafts and then went on to produce the original books.

Nesse trimestre, iniciamos o processo de criação de personagens, escolha do nome, background e personalidade de forma individual, onde cada estudante desenhou e escreveu seu próprio protagonista. Depois foi a hora de marcar um encontro entre todos esses incríveis personagens e formar grupos de trabalho para produzir um comic book coletivamente. Conhecemos sobre a estrutura de uma HQ, tipos de bubble speech e muito mais!
Fizemos rascunhos e então partimos para a produção dos livros originais.

Last but not least, we continued our weekly reading cycle on the Story Time Project, where all the students read amazing books to the class.
In addition to listening to two stories per meeting, on Fridays we also work with improvisation games and creation of collective scenes, in which we practice body expressiveness, spatial relationships, teamwork, listening, creativity and proactivity.
We ended this year full of new learnings and fun, and we hope to see you next year full of energy!

Por último, mas não menos importante, continuamos nosso ciclo de leituras semanais no Story Time Project, em que todos os estudantes leram livros incríveis para a turma.
Além de ouvirmos duas histórias por encontro, às sextas feiras também trabalhamos com jogos de improvisação e criação de cenas coletivas, em que praticamos a expressividade corporal, relação espacial, trabalho em equipe, escuta, criatividade e proatividade.
Finalizamos este ano repleto de novos aprendizados e diversões, e esperamos nos ver no próximo ano cheios de energia!

Exercising motor coordination and rhythm, we presented the song "We don't talk about Bruno" to the 1st and 2nd year Plus with a variety of hand clappings. First, we learned the hand clappings used (sevens and chest, snap, clap) and then the Cup song. We mixed it all with the famous Disney music, forming a beautiful combination.
Continuing this project, some video clips were shown so that the students could choose, through a vote, which one they would reproduce. The selected videos were: Shake It off, Cups: When I'm gone and What makes you beautiful. From now on, they will have to learn the lyrics of each song, define the costumes and rehearse to start the recording!
Exercitando a coordenação motora e o ritmo, apresentamos à turma do 1º e 2º ano do Plus a música "We don't talk about Bruno" com uma variedade de hand clappings. Primeiramente, aprendemos os hand clappings usados (sevens e chest, snap, clap), depois o Cup song. Juntamos tudo com a famosa música da Disney, formando uma linda combinação!
Dando continuidade a esse projeto, foram mostrados alguns videoclipes para que os estudantes escolhessem, por meio de uma votação, qual eles reproduziriam. Os vídeos selecionados foram: Shake It off, Cups: When I'm gone e What makes you beautiful. A partir de agora, eles terão que aprender as lyrics de cada música escolhida, definir os costumes e ensaiar para começarem as gravações!

TUESDAYS: ART PROJECT: ENGRAVE + FRANKENSTEIN
In our Art Project, we worked with engraving, getting to know, appreciating, and identifying different modalities of the visual arts. Therefore, we learned to explore and recognize the constitutive elements of drawing, painting, and engraving in their productions, exploring some techniques such as stencil, monotype, woodcut, collage, frottage, and many others. We used different materials to produce and experience new artistic sensations, achieving great results in all final arts. To finish the project, everyone made a tie-dye t-shirt with the techniques learned during the project and the result was magnificent!
Now, we started with the body project, in which we will learn about the parts of the human body. Our idea is to create a big Frankenstein with them, so they can better identify the parts according to the vocabulary learned. For now, students are exploring the body types and clothes to start building the monster with a larger repertoire.
Em nosso Art Project, trabalhamos com engraving, conhecendo, apreciando e identificando diferentes modalidades das artes visuais. Por isso, aprendemos a explorar e reconhecer elementos constitutivos do desenho, da pintura e da gravura em suas produções, explorando algumas técnicas como stencil, monotype, woodcut, collage, frottage e muitas outras. Utilizamos diferentes materiais para produzir e experienciar novas sensações artísticas, conseguindo um ótimo resultado em todas as artes finais. Para finalizar o projeto, todos fizeram uma camiseta tie-dye com as técnicas aprendidas durante o projeto e o resultado ficou magnífico!
Agora, começamos com o Body Project, no qual aprenderemos sobre as partes do corpo humano. Nossa ideia é criar um grande Frankenstein com eles, para que possam identificar melhor as partes de acordo com o vocabulário aprendido. Por enquanto, os estudantes estão explorando os body types e as clothes para conseguirem iniciar a construção do monstro com um maior repertório.
WEDNESDAYS: YOUTUBE PROJECT
Nosso YouTube Project continua em alta! Seguido do sucesso dos vídeos sobre a Copa do Mundo com os funny sketches sobre os países da Copa e o Apple Pie Game show, gravaremos, neste semestre, os vídeos sobre Gameplays e Mexican Novels, temas decididos pelos próprios grupos. Com as etapas definidas (Think about the Theme, Lines and Script, Costumes, Rehearsal, e Record), a nossa turma já começou o processo e está organizando quais serão os passos da gravação!
Our YouTube Project is still alive! Following the success of the videos about the World Cup with the funny sketches about the countries of the Cup and the Apple Pie Game show, this semester we will record videos about Gameplays and Mexican Novels, themes decided by the groups themselves. With the steps defined (Think about the Theme, Lines and Script, Costumes, Rehearsal, and Record), we already started the process and are organizing the steps to record.
After a lot of work creating lines, storyboarding, rehearsals, recordings and editing, our YouTube Project of this semester is ready!

THURSDAYS: CULTURE CLASS + COMICS
Our Culture Project has come to an end, but leaving a lot of cultural repertoire for everyone! The trip to Japan House ended the cycle of curiosities about the country with a very fun and educational tour. To finish off the curiosities about Colombia, the students created a typical food fair that was a success!
Now, they have started the Comic Book Project, in which they will create an authorial comic book! The character creation process has already started, with each one thinking about the name, background, personality, and more!
Nosso Culture Project chegou ao fim, mas deixando muito repertório cultural para todos! A visita ao Japan House fechou o ciclo das curiosidades sobre o país com um passeio muito divertido e educativo. Para finalizar as curiosidades sobre a Colômbia, os estudantes criaram uma feira de comidas típicas que foi um sucesso!
Agora, eles iniciaram o Comic Book Project, no qual eles criarão uma história em quadrinhos autoral! O processo de criação de personagens já foi iniciado, com cada um pensando no name, background, personality e muito mais!

MONDAYS: BILLI'S AND MUSIC CLASS
During this quarter we developed several activities. On Mondays, we start the week with music class, working on vocabulary, motor coordination, and cooperation, as they must learn the song presented on the day and the proposed hand clapping. In addition, we have Billi's class, in which we work on motor coordination with various collaborative and competitive activities and games on the court.
Durante este trimestre desenvolvemos diversas atividades. Às segundas-feiras, a turma inicia a semana com a aula de música, trabalhando o vocabulário, coordenação motora e cooperação, já que eles devem aprender a canção apresentada no dia e o hand clapping proposto. Além disso, nós temos aula do Billi, na qual trabalhamos a coordenação motora com várias atividades e jogos colaborativos e competitivos na quadra.

TUESDAYS: ART PROJECT: ENGRAVE
On Tuesdays, the students develop the art project. Learning about Engraving, they did one type of print each week, producing Collage, Frottage, Monotyping, Stencil, and Styrofoam artwork. This activity allows students to discover more about art, its history and uses, expanding the children's cultural repertoire.
Às terças, os estudantes desenvolvem o art project. Aprendendo sobre gravuras, eles fizeram um tipo de figura em cada semana, produzindo artes de Collage, Frottage, Monotyping, Stencil e Styrofoam. Essa atividade permite com que os estudantes descubram mais sobre a arte, a história dela e seus usos, ampliando o repertório cultural das crianças.
WEDNESDAYS: WORLD CUP BUT SOCCER
Our YouTube project, which takes place on Wednesdays, is already in the final stage. Students have already developed their storyboards and Scripts and even started rehearsing, working on their writing in English, and letting their creativity flow. From now on, they will start recording to mold their project.
O nosso YouTube Project, que ocorre às quartas-feiras, já está na etapa final. Os estudantes já desenvolveram seus storyboards e scripts, até começaram a ensaiar, trabalhando a escrita em inglês e deixando a criatividade fluir. A partir de agora, eles começarão as gravações para dar formato ao projeto.

There are cultural classes on Thursdays and this quarter we talked about Japan. With lots of activities for the kids to learn fun facts and more about the country, our class went on a field trip to Japan House and there we learned about the cultural traditions and saw several works by Japanese artists, expanding everyone's knowledge.
Ocorrem, às quintas-feiras, as aulas culturais e, neste trimestre, nós falamos sobre o Japão. Com muitas atividades prévias para as crianças aprenderem curiosidades e mais sobre o país, a nossa turma fez uma excursão ao Japan House e lá nós aprendemos sobre os costumes da cultura e vimos diversas obras dos artistas japoneses, ampliando o conhecimento de todos.
FRIDAYS: STORY TIME
Finally, closing the week, we have our story time. Every Friday, two books are presented, one by each student. Working on reading and vocabulary, these chosen students read and interpret the selected book for the class with the help of a teacher. So far, more than half of our class has read a book and the next ones are already scheduled! After reading, there is always a game that encourages children's imagination and perception, seeking to propose a more relaxed moment!
Our trimester was very productive and the projects are all going very well, with a lot of learning and development for everyone!
Por fim, encerrando a semana, temos o nosso story time. Às sextas, dois livros são apresentados, um por estudante. Trabalhando a leitura e vocabulário, os escolhidos lêem e interpretam o livro selecionado para a turma com a ajuda de um educador. Até o momento, mais da metade da nossa turma já leu um livro e os próximos já estão com data marcada! Depois da leitura, sempre é feita uma brincadeira que incentiva a imaginação e percepção das crianças, buscando propor um momento mais descontraído!
Nosso trimestre foi bem produtivo e os projetos estão todos caminhando muito bem, com muito aprendizado e desenvolvimento para todos!

By the beginning of the year, a lot of new children arrived at Plus, including some who are new to the school. So we presented the routine every day during the first week. Our routine consists of 6 different moments:
Welcome: we pick up the students in their classrooms and go to the plus room;
Lunch time: when they have lunch;
Circle time: we talk about different subjects, which will vary according to the days of the week;
Activity time: it’s the moment that we perform the planned activities;
Snack time: the moment that the students eat their snack; and
Homework time: this is the period that students do their homework.

Neste início de ano, muitas crianças novas chegaram no Plus, incluindo algumas que são novas na escola. Assim, apresentamos a rotina todos os dias durante a primeira semana. A nossa rotina é composta por 6 momentos diferentes:

In the moments that precede lunch and afternoon snacks, we always advise students to wash their hands. In addition, after meals, students have a reserved time for oral hygiene and mask change (we prepared a chart for them to fill in every day after completing these steps, indicating whether they completed the hygiene and how healthy their meal was).
During these initial weeks, to bring the group together we played several games, doing a Playtime every day after the activities. We play, for example, Cops and Robbers, Play Tag, Dodgeball, etc. These games demonstrated that the group has good interaction and allowed to build a better connection between them.
Therefore, our beginning of the year has been very productive and fun, with many different games and a lot of interesting and interactive projects, combining teaching and fun!

Nos momentos que precedem o almoço e o lanche da tarde, sempre orientamos aos alunos que realizem a higienização das mãos. Além disso, após as refeições, os estudantes têm um momento reservado para a higiene bucal e para a troca de máscara (preparamos uma tabela para que eles preencham todos os dias depois de completarem essas etapas, indicando se completaram a higienização e como se alimentaram).
Durante essas semanas iniciais, com o intuito de aproximar o grupo, nós fizemos diversas brincadeiras, realizando, todos os dias, um Playtime após as atividades. Brincamos, por exemplo, de Cops and Robbers, Play Tag, Dodgeball etc. Essas brincadeiras demonstraram uma boa interação entre o grupo e permitiram uma melhor aproximação entre eles.
Portanto, o nosso início de ano está sendo bem produtivo e divertido, com muitos jogos diferentes e projetos muito interessantes e interativos, juntando ensino e diversão!
