This course fills two (2) credits towards the six (6) Science credits required for graduation.
In this laboratory-based course, students learn the basic motions of the universe and the equations that describe them. Topics include Newtonian physics, thermal physics and fluid dynamics, waves and optics, electricity and magnetism, and atomic and nuclear physics.
Students learn to assess experimental errors and uncertainties as they interpret the results of experiments. This course is part of the college preparation of the student who has demonstrated high aptitude and skills in science, math, reading and writing.
