Leadership

At TEFAT we know that leadership is a mindset not a rank.

...and we want a Leadership Framework that emphasises that and develops transformational leaders who lead and model the TEFAT behaviours of a growth mindset, integrity and equity. The Leadership Framework and associated development opportunities will empower TEFAT leaders at all levels to build capacity and grow from a foundation of values and a set of underpinning core dimensions.

Driving the vision

Leaders model the TEFAT values and communicate a clear and compelling vision of the future for staff, pupils and parents

Embracing change

Leaders provide a safe physical and mental environment for staff to try new things and alternative approaches that might be more effective. Staff are encouraged to develop their personal skills and adopt new innovations and technologies.

Enabling our people

Leaders develop positive relationships with staff at all levels. Trust and respect is mutual and staff wellbeing and development are key to motivation and morale.

Organising effective systems

Leaders ensure the working environment enables staff to focus on the learning,  safety and wellbeing of all staff and pupils. There is  effective deployment of staff, budget, estate and educational resources. Risks are managed and safeguarding is paramount.

Facilitate achievement

Leaders embeds teaching and learning that deepens and extends engagement and improves achievement. Academic attainment and personal and social development go hand-in-hand and there is a broad offer of extra- curricular activities.

Connect our communities

Leaders build the reputation of the school, develop positive relationships with community leaders &  build a web of links across the school to other organisations and individuals.
