This apprenticeship is suitable for new or current office, finance or reception staff; this course develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours identified through the apprenticeship in line with your current experience. It typically takes 18 months plus the 12 week End Point Assessment period (EPA). The course is 50% assignments and professional discussions with your tutor and 50% work products and observations of practice.
Our end goal is for you to achieve your qualification and feel confident in your ability. We’ll be with you every step of the way!

Portfolio
This is 25 pieces of evidence that demonstrate the qualification standards. We aim to support you to find the best bits of evidence according to your context but generally include:
a range of work products e.g. emails, reports, documents, spreadsheets etc that you have created in the context of your role throughout the programme
professional discussion recordings with tutor
Safeguarding certificate (from course)
observations of practice e.g. customer service or placing orders
evidence of inputting data on Scholarpack or PSF
End Point Assessment
The End Point Assessment is in three parts. There is a multiple choice, 60 minute Knowledge Test, which covers your understanding of theoretical elements. Don’t worry we will support you throughout with practice papers and revision guides.
A large aspect is the project presentation. In the latter stages of your apprenticeship you will be asked, with your senior leaders’ input, an area of change that would benefit the school, which you can implement over a period of 25 days. Previous examples apprentices have used include digitising the school book ordering system or procuring a new catering company; both were useful and pertinent for the school as well as the apprentice. As part of the EPA you will present your project for 10-15 minutes, followed by a 10-15 minute question and answer session on your project.
The final aspect is a professional discussion around your portfolio evidence against the apprenticeship standard. At which point you will be qualified!
