A mandatory aspect of Functional Skills programmes is an initial assessment of current knowledge in order to best plan and support your learning accordingly. The initial assessment is conducted online using BKSB; which we also  use as a learning platform as it provides access to learning resources, revision questions and sample papers to enhance your study.

Diagnostic Assessment

When a learner completes the Diagnostic Assessments in English and Mathematics, it provides them with an accurate level for Reading, SPAG and Writing (English) and Number, Measure, Shape and Space and Statistics and Data (Mathematics). It also shows the distance they are from progressing to the next level.
