We believe that partnerships can only thrive with collaboration and we want to work with you to up skill your workforce and benefit directly from the apprenticeship levy. We aim to not only train your apprentices in the first instance but to also train assessors within your schools so that even more of the levy can come back into your schools to support your staff and children.
What are apprenticeships?
The Apprenticeship Levy came into effect in 2017 as a way to encourage large employers to nurture their skilled workers, invest in new talent, and bridge emerging skills gaps. Your levy contributions go in to a ring fenced training fund, which can then be spent on apprenticeship training at all levels of your business. They are appropriate for anyone over the age of 16 and programmes range from 12 months to 60 months. Learners can study from Level 2 (GCSE) up to Level 7 (Masters).
What is required from us as the 'employer'?
Your commitment to supporting the learner being able to attend compulsory aspects; this includes taught sessions, work-based activities, portfolio building, assignments and reviews. This is the 20% off-the-job and equates to 6 hours per week for full time staff. We aim to spread as much of this off the job learning across the working week and is always aligned with the job role and qualification.
Observations of the learner conducting their activities within school. Training will be provided for line managers and joint observations conducted with the tutor to build confidence in the process.
Online termly progress review meetings with the tutor and learner to assess progress against the apprenticeship standard.
Completed Health and Safety declaration, named safeguarding and equalities links to ensure the learner remains safe whilst at work (we do this at registration)

induction on a termly basis or we can create a bespoke cohort just for your school or Trust (depending on numbers)
build capacity so you can use your staff to be assessor coaches or facilitators - we want you to get the most out of your levy.
