Founded in 1965, the University of Southern Indiana is a comprehensive public university offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. USI is regarded as responsive, student-centered, and innovative. The University strives to maintain a low student/faculty ratio to enhance learning; the average class size is 21 students. USI’s 1,400-acre wooded campus is situated in beautiful rolling hills on the edge of Evansville, Indiana’s third-largest city.
The University offers degrees in more than 130 areas of study within its colleges of Business, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Professions, and Science, Engineering, and Education. Classroom lectures and presentations combine with extensive hands-on laboratory work, collaborative projects, service learning or other activities that simulate how professionals in the wok place do their jobs. The accredited Intensive English Program offers year-round language training to prepare students for academic coursework. The Romain College of Business has the prestigious accreditation from the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Engineering program is ABET-accredited.
Scholarships / Financial Aid
USI offers reduced price for IEP and in-state tuition for students from Panama (contracts with IFARHU and SENACYT) but we also have some Global Leader scholarships for students that brings tuition to in-state.
