Shasta College, located in Northern California, is a comprehensive two-year college accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). With over 70 years of academic excellence, it is a top community college in California and an important part of the California higher education system. The College offers 124 transfer programs, Associate Degrees and Certificates. Shasta College enrolls approximately 12,000 students at its 337 acre Redding campus and four satellite sites or online. The College has strong 2+2 programs with the California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC) systems and other four-year institutions across the U. S. including UC Berkeley and UCLA.
The cost of living in our area is low in comparison with other parts of California, offering international students an opportunity of a great American education that they may not afford otherwise.
Shasta College is one of the very few community colleges that have a dormitory and offer on-campus living.
Scholarships / Financial Aid
SC Foundation Scholarship for International Students- Requirements: $3,000, GPA 3.5, essay and two letters of recommendation.
There are other scholarships for students who complete 12 units of college credits.
