Maybe you could help your family start a Gratitude Jar at home. Watch this story and see what you think and feel like doing.
Keep being kind and taking care of yourself and others.
Maybe watch this when mum isn't looking.
We thank you and we are thinking of you ALL.
Think of someone special in your home, write them a gratitude note telling them how they make you feel. Once you've written your little note, share it with them by leaving it on their pillow, or even better - read it to them. You could share with us how you wrote a gratitude note to make someone feel good!
I wonder how you will feel after you have shared it?
Gratitude is when we allow our mind to be thankful towards many things in our life. It's a feeling that fills us with joy, kindness and love. And creating feelings of gratitude, allow us to share that love, kindness and joy.
Savouring is when we allow ourselves to stop, take a pause and enjoy the small moments in each day. We use our senses in the moment we have paused, to pay attention to the wonderful positive things around us. If we practise how to savour moments, we can find joy and positivity in the small things we do.
Have a go at the Gratitude Meditation below.
Next week, we are going to work towards writing a gratitude letter to someone special to us, and sharing some savouring moments with them.
My Lock Down Diary -
Click on the link to download this. Ask your family if you can print this and work through it over the first few weeks. If you don't want to print it, you can take inspiration from each page, and create your own lock down diary. This reflective journal is a way to find the silver linings in each day, and appreciate the small, or large things that bring you joy in your day. We are all in this together and sharing and reflecting about this will be helpful.
Imagine reading this back when you are an adult!
