Welcome back grade 3 - 6 students. It was great to see so many Trick shots on our Celebration Wall last week. I hope you enjoyed creating them and using your Perseverance.
This week it is footy mania. With the AFL finals in full swing we will be enjoying some great footy drills and skills for us to try.
So don't forget our powerful word YET and keep trying. If you get frustrated, as we all do, take some time out and try again after a break.
There are also some additional activities for you to try and to keep your body moving.
Don't forget our Movement Challenge too.
Have fun.
Watch the best goals of Eddie Betts, a retiring AFL legend, to get some inspiration and then give the skills a try below. Watch the clips of Joel Selwood and have a go at the skills in each video. If you don't have a football then just use another ball or even a rolled up pair of socks.
We have done it!! We have reached Canberra and are on our way to Sydney.
Another 314km moved this week by our TCPS Students. A special mention this week to Thomas and Abbie Dickson and also Hayden Stuart who has travelled 19.5 km since last Wednesday. The ones to beat are still Pia and Jye Monk clocking up 44km between them.

Great to see so many of you on the Celebration wall last week showing me you Super powers. With the Paralympics closing ceremony now done an dusted I hope you all enjoyed watching the amazing athletes and their super human powers. I marvelled at athletes without arms playing table tennis and blind people running. It reminds us of that very powerful word YET. When we try something new and cannot do it straight away we need to remember these guys and how much Perseverance it would have taken them to get to the Paralympics.
With Perseverance in mind I give you this weeks challenges. Juniors you are going to start the Mascot challenge and try to complete the throwing and catching section.
Senior students you will be creating a trick shot for us all to see. This will definitely take Perseverance to keep trying to eventually succeed.
So don't forget our word YET and keep trying. If you get frustrated, as we all do, take some time out and try again after a break.
Have fun and be creative too.
There are also some additional activities for you to try and to keep your body moving.
Cricket Australia has created a Challenge for you guys to complete. They have four activities for each of catching, throwing, bouncing and then four games for you to try. This week we are going to try to complete the throwing and catching challenges in the box beside here.
There are balls out the front of the office if you need one. They are the same as the ones I gave to the preps on their 100 days so all prep students should have one. Grade 1 and 2 if you want to collect one then you can come to school and grab one from the front office. Please only take one so we have enough to go around. There are also sticker sheets if you would like to take one for each Challenge you complete. These will be out the front of the office too. Neither of these things are necessary though if you have a ball at home you can use, or even a rolled up pair of socks.
Have fun and remember our word YET, keep trying and you will get there.
Create a trick shot with the items you have around your home. Upload your finished product to the Celebration wall. Don't forget to be creative and remember our word YET. You will need Perseverance for this task.
We are well on our way to reaching Canberra next week clocking up another 288km. We are currently at the border town of Wodanga and ready to cross into NSW.
This is a huge effort from you guys and to name a few Superstars we have Tom Laursen clocking up 15km either scooting or riding. Hayden Stuart putting in an amazing effort to ride or run 19.5km this week. But the ones to catch are still Jye and Pia Monk with 26km gained.
Keep sending in your kilometres or times and make sure you get out and enjoy this sunshine.

It is great to see you all moving so much and sending in your times and kilometers. A special shout out to Pia and Jye Monk who have been very busy running and walking around their neighbourhood. Also to Luke Ryan who has also clocked up a huge number of kilometeres. Keep up the good work guys!!

Goalball is a team sport played indoors by athletes with vision impairment. The object of the game is to roll the ball into the opponent’s goal while the opposing players try to block the ball with their bodies. Bells inside the ball help orientate the players by indicating the direction of the oncoming ball.
Watch the following Goalball event and try to copy this event in your house with your family.
