LEST WE FORGET

ANZAC Day 2020 TCPS

As we embark on a very different ANZAC day, we realise the enormity of sacrifice that our service men and women have experienced. We can remember within our own families, and take part in a dawn service in our own driveways. Isolation will not deter our community from recognising the significance of such a day. Families are encouraged to explore this page and share together, their own ceremony. You can participate in the #drivewayatdawn and #lightupthedawn remembrance ceremonies by standing in your own driveway and listening to the ABC radio broadcast. There is an app that can be downloaded to guide you through, called ANZAC (search within your devices app store).

The Last Post

We listen to the Last Post. This tune signifies the end of battle for each day. It was played so that our service men and women knew to retire for the night. It is now played at remembrance ceremonies. You can learn more about this here
