Our Wellbeing Philosophy:
We have weekly timetabled Wellbeing sessions, across the whole school. Respectful Relationships (RR) forms the basis of our Scope and Sequence, and we use other programs to compliment our understanding of the topics found in RR.
Our School Values are
RESPECT: having worthy conduct and attitudes
INTEGRITY: acting ethically at all times
INCLUSION: respecting differences and providing equal access
RESPONSIBILITY: being accountable
LIFE-LONG LEARNING: acquiring knowledge and skills in order to accomplish group and personal goals both now and in the future
Our Wellbeing program encompasses a range of effective programs and initiatives, including:
Zones of Regulation: a program which gives students the tools to articulate and self-regulate emotions
Character Strengths: a Positive Psychology program which supports students to recognise the positive parts of their personalities that impact how they think, feel and behave
Inner Coach: a Growth Mindset tool which allows students to use positive self-talk to support themselves when faced with challenging situations to help students succeed
Gratitude: allows students to develop the practise of noticing and reflecting upon the things they are grateful for, which allows them to experience more positive emotions
Let's TALK: a program which facilitates discussions between staff and students about issues they may be facing
Restorative Practices: is a strategy that seeks to repair relationships that have been impacted through conflicts
Lunchtime Clubs: social clubs held during lunch which covers a variety of skills and interests, such as dancing, gardening, board games, mindfulness and choir.
