SMART Foundation

The SMART Foundation program teaches meaningful phonics and common words for the first year of school.

Each week we will have a new word of the week which introduces 1 or 2 new sounds. The word of the week is presented in a sentence which contains common words that link to our Magic 100 Word colour sets.

SMART Foundation weekly words and resources will be updated for students on a fortnightly basis, focusing on one word/sentence per week.

It is important for students to go through the recite, recall, apply sequence each day. Your classroom teacher will provide a video each week via Seesaw to assist with daily practice at home.
