It is highly recommended that students spend at least 20 minutes per day engaging in a form of reading. This could include reading and discussing their home readers, shared reading with their favourite picture story books, identifying their M100W in texts or revising them with a parent or older sibling.

This platform will be updated with reading activities and links on a fortnightly basis to assist you with your at home learning.
Each fortnight you will have the opportunity to swap over take home readers at school and receive new reading activities which correlate with our reading curriculum.
Decodable Readers provide students with the opportunity to solidify their phonics knowledge and build their confidence when reading simple texts. They differ from predictive readers; instead of relying on picture cues and text patterns, students are required to segment and blend sounds in order to read.
