HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE BREAK
This week marks the end of Term 1. Thankfully, for the most part, things have continued to improve in relation to COVID and we have certainly started to re-introduce activities that we were unable to do last year.
Many extracurricular activities such as dance and PSSA sport have returned. We have been able to hold our swimming carnival and our cross-country carnival and our Be Skilled Be Fit Olympics Day are planned for next term.
From this week, the government has eased COVID restrictions and has opened the door for schools to do likewise. At the beginning of next term, we will be considering the new guidelines and how we can use them to welcome parents back on site. We will advise you of the impact of these changes through our school website and school Facebook pages.
Monday 19 April 2021 will be a school development day. All students will return to Tamworth West Public School on Tuesday 20 April 2021.
I would like to wish all our school community a safe and enjoyable break. I look forward to hearing of all the great things that families get up to when we return for Term 2.
Happy Easter!
NO CANTEEN/LUNCH ORDERS – TUESDAY 20 APRIL 2021
Our canteen supervisor, Amy Reading, will be on leave on Tuesday 20 April 2021. As we currently do not have any replacement staff to work in the canteen, we unfortunately must close the canteen on this day.
This means, there will be NO LUNCH ORDERS on the first day back next term. Canteen orders will resume as normal from Wednesday 21 April 2021.
We apologise for any inconvenience this creates.
YEAR 5 OPPORTUNITY CLASS FOR 2022
Parents and carers of students in Year 4 2021 are advised that the application process for Year 5 opportunity class placement for entry in 2022 is about to begin.
Important dates in the application process are as follows:
Tuesday 20 April 2021: Online applications opens
Friday 7 May 2021: Online applications closes (Parents and carers must apply by the due date.)
Wednesday 21 July 2021: Opportunity Class Placement Test
Parents and carers must apply online between Tuesday 20 April and Friday 7 May 2021 at:
https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/selective-high-schools-and-opportunity-classes/year-5
For further information or support with this process, please contact the front office on 67658316.
SCHOOL TIMES
I am concerned that several students are arriving 5-10 minutes late every day. Please remember classes start at 9:25 am and our teachers start classes straight away. This is valuable learning time for all students and over a week our late students are losing close to an hour of learning time which would equate to more than two full days of learning a term and over a full week by the end of the year.
Please do your best to ensure that students are at school on time every day.
CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL
Our school cross country carnival is set down for Friday 7 May 2021. We are really looking forward to sharing this whole-school event with you. The organisation for moving so many students to an external venue takes many hours of planning. Our teachers, office staff, high-school helpers, general assistant and our canteen staff are all working to organise a well-run and enjoyable carnival.
Please ensure that you have returned the permission note and sausage sizzle order form to your classroom teacher.
I look forward to seeing you there.
PIANO CLUB
After a long delay due to COVID restrictions, I am very happy to report that we can now start our Piano Club. Under the tutelage of Jenny Gardner, interested students are being given the opportunity to learn to play the piano.
Piano lessons will be held on Tuesdays and parents/carers can opt for individual lessons or small group lessons.
Lessons will commence in week 3 and continue for eight weeks throughout the term.
Individual lessons cost $30 per student per lesson and can be paid in advance or weekly. Students receiving a 1:1 lesson will also be required to purchase their own piano books. Jenny will have these available at a discounted price.
Small group lessons cost $10 per student per lesson and must be paid in advance. Students in group lessons will not need to purchase anything additional.
All fees are to be paid directly to Jenny Gardner and not the school.
Pianos for use during the lesson will be provided. Although not essential, it would be extremely beneficial if students could practice at home between lessons.
For further information, or to book a place in our Piano Club, please contact Jenny on 0402002742. Expressions of interest will be taken until Friday 23 April 2021.
A Piano Club note has been sent home with all students today. I hope you take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for your children.
Have a wonderful break and see you next term.

Tell Them From Me
The Tell Them From Me survey will be completed with students in years 4 to 6 during the first two weeks of term 2. The Tell Them From Me surveys provide schools with student, teacher and parent perspectives about the engagement and wellbeing of their students. This information is valuable to schools and can be used to identify strengths and successes, as well as areas to target for improvement. For more information please follow the link below.
https://education.nsw.gov.au/student-wellbeing/tell-them-from-me/information-for-parents-and-carers
NAPLAN
NAPLAN 2021 for years 3 and 5 commences on Tuesday May 11. More information, including the timetable for each class, will be communicated early in Term 2.
Attendance
Non-attendance Interview Program in Schools (NIPS)
On Monday 29 March 2021, Tamworth West Public School were involved in an attendance initiative known as NIPS. The program was conducted by a team of Home School Liaison Officers, an Aboriginal School Liaison Officer and school staff. The objective of NIPS is to talk with students about their absences, and to raise awareness at school and home of the importance of regular attendance. We understand that some absences are explained and justified, however this process helps us identify any issues we may be able to assist with.
If your child was interviewed they would have received a letter outlining the process which was followed, including your child’s attendance information to take home to you.
The Resilience Project
Part 1: Introducing The Resilience Project – Parent and Carer video series
Starting in Week 7 of Term 1, we introduced The Resilience Project’s online wellbeing curriculum in our classrooms. The Resilience Project delivers emotionally engaging programs and provides evidence-based, practical strategies to build resilience. The Digital Program consists of online presentations and lessons for students, professional development for staff, and a video series for our parent and carer community.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing the Parent and Carer Program with you. The videos are 5-10 minutes long and will walk through the key pillars of resilience: Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness. You’ll hear stories and be introduced to activities to show how these strategies can support our kids learning and development, and also support you as parents and carers.
This program is an important part of our school’s effort to look after the mental health of our community.
View the first presentation of the series here: Part 1: Meet Martin and learn about The Resilience Project: https://theresilienceproject.com.au/parent-and-carer-hub/
We will be in touch regularly to share the remainder of the program, including research and wellbeing activities to integrate into day to day life.
For mental health resources and support information, visit The Resilience Project’s Support Page.

TEACHING AND LEARNING
What a busy term our teaching staff have had!
Each week teachers have worked together in collaborative planning sessions to plan explicit teaching and learning programs. They have used data collected throughout the term to adjust and modify their teaching to suit the needs of the students in their class.
Each stage had a ZOOM session with Dr Janelle Wills to discuss Proficiency Scales that will assist teachers and students to determine the current level of progress towards meeting the essential learning in all Key Learning Areas. On Tuesday 23 March, teachers met with Janelle again for a 90-minute ZOOM session to continue working on Proficiency Scales. Teachers will continue to write these throughout the year to match what is being explicitly taught. They are also looking at inventive and visual ways to create data walls in their classroom so students can see what they have achieved and where to next for their learning. We will continue to work with Janelle through the year.
We are trialling a new Maths platform called Maths Online in Term 2. Your child will receive a log in to use this at home and school. Teachers are able to set activities that are at all students’ levels for them to complete. We are also looking into an online platform for reading.
At the beginning of Term 2 teachers will be implementing a program called CARS and STARS. This is a comprehensive program that assists teachers to teach twelve reading and comprehension strategies. This has been an area we have identified through our collection of data that we need to improve our literacy results. It is tailored to suit the level of each student. We will begin Term 2 with Professional Learning on how to use this program.
We are very lucky to have the guru of SMART Spelling, Michelle Hutchison, dropping into our school in week 1 of term 2. Our families may remember her from our home learning where she provided videos for you to watch. Michelle will be visiting a couple of our classes to see how they are enjoying the program and then providing some professional learning for our staff.

Instructional Leader
Check-in assessment for Years 4 and 6
Year 4 and 6 students will participate in a reading and numeracy check-in assessment.
The check-in assessment is a NSW Department of Education online reading and numeracy assessment available to support schools to assess and monitor Years 4 and 6 student learning following the period of learning from home.
The check-in assessments supplement existing school practices to identify how students are performing in literacy and numeracy and to help teachers tailor their teaching more specifically to student needs.
The assessment will be scheduled for our Year 4 and 6 students during Term 2 Weeks 1-3.
Students with disability will receive the same level of support during the assessment that they would normally receive in the classroom.
LOST PROPERTY
We have a number of lost property items here at school, among them are 3 pairs of prescription glasses. If your child has lost their pair of glasses, please come into the front office to identify and collect them.
In each edition of the newsletter, we introduce you to some of our valued members of staff. This month please meet...
Elise Clarke
Teacher, 1C
My name is Elise Clarke and I have joined the team at Tamworth West PS as a year 1 classroom teacher. I’m a first-year graduate from the University of Newcastle and have just moved up to Tamworth in January this year with my partner who is working at Oxley High School. I have completed my practicums in small rural schools around Maitland, mainly in early stage 1 and stage 1 composite classes. I was fortunate enough to work last term as a classroom teacher at a small school in Broke - which I absolutely loved.
I love collecting indoor plants, going to markets, listening to lots of different genres of music and taking my little dogs for walks.
I have felt super welcomed coming into the team at Tamworth West and am looking forward to building relationships with the students, staff and community!
Well if you blinked you would have missed that first term. How quickly did it go? The P&C held their AGM at the beginning of March. The newly elected officers are -:
President - Jacki Galvin
Vice President - Renae Mumford
Secretary - Emma Philp
Treasurer - Emily Crompton
The P&C have been very busy this term with being able to do our fundraisers again. We had a very successful Easter bun drive, selling 135 packets of buns. This is a record for us, so thankyou to everyone who supported this. $2 from each packet was donated back to the P&C by Bakers Delight.
We also held our yearly Easter raffle which is being drawn today as I type this. Congratulations to all those lucky people who will be taking these home....I am very jealous. We made just over $1200 on this. A HUGE thankyou to all of those who supported this.
Last Sunday we held our Bunnings barbeque which was also very successful. We profited approximately $890.00 from the day. Thank you to all of those who volunteered their time. Without volunteers we would not be able to hold these fundraisers.
With the cooler weather coming upon us I am now selling pre-loved winter uniforms. Keep your eye out on the Parents and Carers Facebook page. If you are not on Facebook, please just ask at the front office for my contact details. Thank you to all those wonderful families who donate uniforms to the P&C. This has been a very reliable fundraiser for the P&C for 4 years now.
There will not be a P&C Meeting next month due to Easter and the school holidays. So, our next meeting will be on Monday 10th May at 5:30 pm in the staffroom. We are able to hold our Mother's Day stall also this year. This will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021.
Wishing you all a very happy Easter. Enjoy the holidays and see you all again next term.

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a framework that we use at Tamworth West to improve social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for students.
During week 9, Kindergarten got to meet our mascot (Captain West) for the first time.
Captain West likes to check that students are always following the 3Rs:
Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.
This term classroom teachers have been busy setting up their classroom expectations and reward systems. Each class has been revising school expectations for all areas and we have had a focus on transitioning from the playground into classrooms.
In the playground, students can earn PBL raffle tickets for displaying the PBL values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility. To encourage house spirit this year, we have four new coloured mailboxes to place our raffle tickets in. Each week the house captains will count and collect the raffle tickets for their house and put all the tickets into the PBL barrel ready for the weekly raffle draw at assembly.
Two names are drawn out of the barrel each week, and the winners should see Mrs Ward in the library to choose their prize from the treasure chest. All raffle tickets contribute to whole school rewards days throughout the year to celebrate all the amazing things happening at Tamworth West!
Congratulations to our first two raffle winners for this year!

Welcome to Kindergarten 2021!
Kindergarten has had a fabulous first term at school and we have all settled in beautifully to our class routines. Kindergarten staff's primary communication method with families has been through the Seesaw App. This has allowed weekly updates with families, informing them about what is happening in the classroom and school. It also enables us to send home photos of artwork and achievements throughout the week.
Over the last five weeks, we have been reading quality texts like, 'Where is the Green Sheep?' by Mem Fox and 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See" by Bill Martin Jr. We have been using these texts to support the construction of a simple sentence using jumbled words. Next term, Kindergarten will be focusing on writing a simple sentence. Here are some writing examples and artwork completed by students in Kinder over the last five weeks.
Next term, Kindergarten will begin homework. Students will be given a blue TWPS bag with a home reader, a reading diary and a Word Wall folder to practice their weekly sight words.
We encourage students to complete their homework each night and return it at the end of the week.
In Week 7, Kindergarten participated in the Bus Safety Program run by the NRMA, with the support of our local Police Liaison Officer and the Buslines Company. Kindergarten thoroughly enjoyed our short bus ride around town.
In Week 9, Kindergarten had a very special visitor. At lunchtime, Captain West flew into school to check that all Kindergarten students were following the playground expectations. Kindergarten were given the opportunity to have photos with Captain West if they wished, and they enjoyed following him around the playground.
Thank you to all our Kindergarten families for your support this term. We wish you a very safe and happy Easter break!
-Miss Massey, Miss Cross and Mrs. Wilson
Welcome to Stage 1!
Year 1/2 STEM
In STEM, students have been involved in a range of activities.
In 1C and 1/2R, students used their critical thinking to design and create a marble run maze using various materials. We saw a lot of different designs which included mini ramps and tunnels! Students had lots of fun creating these and trying out their friends’ designs.
In 2L students were challenged with making card towers and how many books a roll of paper could hold! As you can see, one group managed to hold up 23 books with their piece of paper!
Harmony Day
This year we have celebrated Harmony Day by showing up in our house colours. This year in 2021, the focus for Harmony Day is ‘everyone belongs’. In classes, we spoke about that being different is okay and that even though we all have differences, however we must learn to live in harmony together.
Announcements
Miss Sutherland will be absent from weeks 1-4 in term 2. Miss Burns will be taking 1S for this time until Miss Sutherland returns to school in Week 5.
Miss Kahla May – 4M
Mr Adrian Wood – 4W
Mrs Courtney Lyon – 3L
Miss Felicity Bagshaw 3B (Relieving Stage 2 Assistant Principal)
Wow! I cannot believe it is the end of the term and the beginning of April. This term has gone so quickly and we have packed a lot into it.
This term we have been learning how to write factual descriptions. We learnt what the structure of a factual description looks like and the types of information that we needed to include to make our writing interesting. One of our big focuses was adding interesting facts and words to our writing to engage the audience. At the end of last week all the Stage 2 students wrote a factual description on The Great Barrier Reef and WOW what a great job they did. All the teachers were proud of the improvements that students made over the term and we celebrated all our achievements, regardless of how big or small they were. Well done Stage 2 – we are all very proud of you!
We finish off this term with the last STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) tasks within our classrooms.
As mentioned earlier in the term, the students were split into 4 mixed ability and year level groups.
Each group rotated around the four classroom teachers.
It was great to hear from students the fun they had in their activities and the challenges they overcame to complete the task.
Harmony Week was celebrated in the primary classes with a whole school “Wear your House Colours to School Day’ and what an amazing way our students embraced their house colours! Each primary classroom teacher also organised an activity and students rotated in their sporting houses to complete 4 of the activities offered. Houses were given the opportunity to earn extra house points and the competition has been fierce!
I have loved the way our students across the school have taken up the challenge to earn house points for their houses! Well done and thanks to the Stage 3 students who collect the points each week to collate.
Today also marks the amazing “Easter Hat Parade" that is celebrated by all year levels from Kindergarten to Year 6. I am so pleased that we have been able to have parents come into our school again and help celebrate this special event!
Coming up next term:
NAPLAN
Cross country
Athletics carnival preparation
Life Education Van
Thankyou again to our wonderful teaching and support staff who work so hard with our students every day.
I hope you have a special and safe holiday and I look forward to seeing you next term.
-Felicity Bagshaw
This term certainly has been filled with plenty of opportunities that we have not be able to experience for over 12 months! We are excited to see what the next three terms will bring for our stage 3 pupils.
As expressed in the stage 3 class newsletters (which can also be found online) we have already been involved in The Leadership Induction, our swimming carnival, a meet the teacher and Year 7 information evening, Wicked excursion, police liaison visit, Harmony Day and the Science and Engineering challenge. We look forward to our upcoming Easter Hat parade and the ANZAC march.
Stage 3 have been reading two novels this term: Wonder and Smile. We have analysed the texts, made comparisons between the themes and compared the literary devices used in both books. Students have transferred the writing techniques learned whilst reading these texts to their own writing with great success. We used a variety of stimulus to create some amazingly descriptive pieces of writing. Mrs Kay, Mrs Spinks and Ms Welsh have all read some stage 3 classes writing. Please take the time to grab a cuppa and sit and read through the attached first drafts of descriptive writing. They are filled with figurative language, humour and clever imagery! The focus was to use literary devices utilised by authors and create entertaining pieces of writing. The first draft is usually untidy, written hurriedly as thoughts come quickly to the authors. They are authentic examples of children's writing, they have edited these works at a later date.
In Mathematics, we have used numerous strategies to complete addition, subtraction, multiplication and division questions. Staff cannot stress enough...times tables must be learned. Without knowledge of these facts it is difficult for children to complete many other math problems. Classes also studied 24hour time, converted units of measurement and continued Number Talks.
Both grades 5 and 6 will be completing online testing early next term. NAPLAN and Check In assessments will be conducted in accordance with DoE guidelines, as well as the Tell Them from Me Survey. The Resilience Project will continue, as will yoga with Charlie, for those classes involved.
We will read three texts to support writing next term, Fox, A is for Australia and Stormboy. These texts should help children further develop their capacity to write narratives and use literary devices effectively in their own writing. Furthermore, students will compete in our K-6 cross country, prepare for the school Athletics carnival and continue studying Australia’s history in readiness for the Canberra excursion in Term 3.
Recently, an EOI was handed to all Year 6 children. The EOI is to establish a preference for either a Year 6 jumper, which can be worn daily, or to continue purchasing the polo shirts.
Thanks to the students who applied themselves this term. Their commitment and dedication to the work is commendable. Well done and we look forward to another busy, yet productive term after a well-deserved Easter break.
-Mrs Milton, Mr Willis, Mrs Flick and Mrs McInnes
3-6S Spotlight
Over the past month in 3/6S we have been having lots of fun learning about lots of new and interesting things. In Geography, stage 2 have been learning about the different environments and what animals and plants grow in them. During History, stage 3 have been learning all about Federation and how Australia's government system works. We have all been learning how to write descriptions using lots of adjectives to make our writing more interesting. During our Math lessons we have all been trying really hard to learn how to tell the time and count collections of objects more efficiently by counting by 2's, 5's and 10's. We all can't wait for the holidays because we have been working so super hard this term.
K-3M & 3-6D
K-3M and 3-6D have continued to work collaboratively on a regular basis during this month to complete activities as part of their themed integrated seasonal study of Autumn.
The students have enjoyed making Scarecrows and had to problem solve ways to ensure that each Scarecrow was able to be attached to its structure. This STEM activity provided students with a multitude of opportunities to trial, discuss, re-think and re-try a number of methods to meet the challenge with their team. It was great to see the high levels of RESPECT, RESILIENCE and RESPONSIBILITY on display during this activity. Congratulations everyone!!!
The students of K-3M and 3-6D have also been working very hard on their emotional registers and developing their ability to identify their feelings more readily. Integrated drama activities have provided a fabulous opportunity for the students to develop these skills. The students are becoming better equipped at identifying what they are feeling and when they are starting to feel uncomfortable or losing emotional control. These activities are directly linked with areas of study supported by Personal Health and Development as well as student wellbeing.
3-6D students have completed some outstanding work on Factual Descriptions throughout this term. They have developed their skills in using topic words, adjectives, characteristics and features to describe people, places and objects.
This Factual Description of a Scarecrow was written by Tabitha Pritchard 3-6D
We wish the entire TWPS community a Happy Easter and a safe and restful holiday.
RFF stands for ‘Release from Face to Face' and refers to the 2 hours a week when our classroom teachers get released from class for administration and planning time.
In addition to this, and in line with our Strategic Improvement Plan, our classroom teachers receive an additional 2 ¼ hours a week working together in a collaborative team to monitor student growth & attainment, discuss high impact teaching strategies and improve teaching practice.
At Tamworth West Public School, we run specialised programs in Science, Creative Arts, computer skills, Aboriginal language and Library during these times where students benefit from our teachers' expertise in these areas.
This month we have inserts from Miss Cunneen and Mrs Ward.
NSW Premier's Reading Challenge
The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) is open to all NSW students in Kindergarten to Year 9, in government, independent, Catholic and home schools. If you need help using the website and the answer cannot be found on the PRC Support site, please contact us at prc@det.nsw.edu.au

The Midnight Gang
On Friday 26 March 2021, Year 4 and Mrs Diss's class went to the Capital Theatre to watch the play 'The Midnight Gang' by David Walliams. The play is about a group of children in a hospital and each night when the clock strikes midnight, the children go on a series of adventures turning the hospital into the places they've always wanted to go and make dreams come true.
Hayley: It was extremely well acted!
Sienna: It was really interesting how the characters expressed themselves!
Ryleigh: It was very intriguing!
Annabelle: It was very fun to watch!
Ruby: It was outstanding!!
WICKED
Students in year 5 and 6 travelled to Newcastle to see Newcastle Grammar School perform ‘Wicked.’ It was an early start at 6am and we watched the sun rise from the bus. We arrived in Newcastle and entered the theatre and discovered we had a whole side wing at the front for our school.
The curtains opened and the show began. It was full of songs, jokes, amazing props and colourful people. After the show the cast came and chatted with us outside and gave us interesting information about theatre life. It was a fabulous and incredible experience.
Holly: The singing was awesome!
Freya: The props were really cool and I loved the singing!
Maddison: It was WICKED!!
Zac: Fabulous show!
Lochie: I don't know how they remembered all those lines!!
TERM THREE
Next term in Creative Arts the students will be doing art and music units.
Year 1 and 2 will need a recorder for their music unit which will be kept at school and cleaned after music sessions in compliance with COVID regulations. Instruments will be returned at the end of the year.
Year 3 and 4 will be doing bucket drumming and no equipment is needed for this.
Kinder will be doing percussion instruments and all will be supplied.
Year 5 and 6 will be exploring a variety of instruments and are not required to bring anything.
For art, Year 5 and 6 will be exploring sculptures - creating a dragon out of wire then covering it with clay and painting it. The theme for Year 4 is outer space and for Year 3 it is buildings. Yr 1 and 2 will be exploring Africa in their art and Kinder will be looking at bugs. As different mediums will be used in different classes, students are encouraged to have a labelled paint shirt to protect their uniforms.

North West PSSA Swimming Carnival
Earlier in the term, our Junior Girls Relay team consisting of Sienna Mulligan, Clare Gardner, Miranda Wrigley and Eva Wrigley attended the North West Swimming Carnival in Armidale. The girls swam in the 4 x 50m relay with guts and determination and put in a huge effort, coming 4th in their heat and a respectable 19th overall. They were able to reduce their qualifying time from the Zone carnival by a huge 5.73 seconds.
Also attending the carnival was Mackenzie Kelly. Mackenzie represented Tamworth Zone in two individual events; the 11 Year Girls 50m Freestyle and the 50m Backstroke, where she placed 21st and 17th respectively. These were also very pleasing results considering the high level of representation.
Congratulations to all the girls for their efforts. We hope you enjoyed your experience representing both Tamworth West and Tamworth Zone at a Regional Carnival.
Zone Trials
Over the month of March we have had several students attend Zone trials.
In Hockey Travis Mumford trialled for the Boys Zone Hockey team.
In Rugby League we had Cooper-Lee Shaw attend the 11 Years trials, whilst Oliver Beecham, Blake Sampson and Jayden Goodchild attended the Boys Open Rugby League trials.
It was extremely pleasing to hear how all of these athletes were model students and represented our school and themselves with pride at these trials.
Congratulations to both Blake and Jayden who were successful in being named in the Tamworth Zone Opens Rugby League team. They will now attend the North West Trials on the 21 April 2021. Well done!
Horse Sports
Sadly, the Willow Tree Horse Sports carnival was cancelled this term due to wet weather. The grounds were deemed unsafe for rider and horse after significant rain. Both Kelsie Jenner and Angela Emery had prepared for the event but look forward to future horse events in 2021.

PSSA Boys’ Knockout Cricket (Tamworth West Public School vs. Tamworth South Public School- 9/3/21)
Well done to our Tamworth West Boys’ Cricket Team! Although we didn’t come out with a win, a fun day of cricket was had by all. The boys never gave up throughout the game and showed excellent sportsmanship. It was awesome seeing the boys support each other and develop new skills.
Special mention to Declan Williams on getting two wickets on the day (both bowled out) and Cooper Staines for also getting a wicket (run out). Ethan Simpson was a constant batsman, who had a great partnership with Travis Mumford.
Thank you to Mr Clare, who helped umpire the game and drove the bus for the team (kindly donated by Tamworth High School). I would also like to thank the spectators for your support on the day.
