I have a Twitter account to follow other edu-nerds like myself. I scroll through my feed once a day or so and typically stumble across something interesting. I've never been one to search using hashtags unless I'm at a conference. I look forward to expanding my Twitterskills.
I found it really hard to find hashtags relevant to my search. #inquiry was far too broad, and there doesn't seem to be consensus in the Twitterverse on flexible/adaptable space/learning environment. When I try to combine #inquiry with #learningspace or other similar terms I don't get many results.
I did find #learningspace by itself provided some useful tweets, and importantly, people to follow. Through the advanced search I realised I could also filter posts from only Australia. This led me to the following accounts:
These accounts were filled with tweets and tags bringing my attention to a number of relevant articles linking space and pedagogy. These articles focus on active, student-centred learning so there is a significant cross-section with inquiry learning.
It took me a while to find anything, but once I got onto a roll I came across a number of relevant resources. Similar to the success I had with Google Scholar, I found the network effect a more useful way to search - find something highly relevant and follow the links down the right path to more relevant information.
The best thing about Twitter is now I follow these accounts, I'll continue to update my knowledge in this area.
