Inquiry learning is a pedagogical approach that:

• is student centred and active
• is driven by questions
• involves gathering and evaluating information
• allows students to construct their own learning and meaning
• can effectively develop independent and collaborative learning skills.

Sub categories of inquiry learning include project based learning, problem based learning and design thinking.
