[Text reads - How to make a square from a piece of paper]

You will need scissors and paper.

[Text reads - Method 1]

Take A4 paper and hold it in landscape. Fold the bottom right hand corner up to the top left so that the right side of the paper lines up perfectly with the top of the page. This will create a folded triangle and leave a tall rectangle to the left.

Fold the tall rectangle over the triangle and run your finger over the fold to make it deep. Unfold the rectangle and the fold it over the triangle again but on the other side.

Unfold the triangle so you can see the whole paper and then use your scissors to cut the straight line between the rectangle and the two triangles, this will create a square.

[Text reads - Method 2]

Get 2 pieces of A4 paper. Place one in portrait (with the short side facing towards you) and the other in landscape (long side facing towards you). Over lap the landscape piece on the top of the portrait piece with the bottom left hand corner carefully lined up.

Pick both pieces of paper up, holding them tightly together with the bottom left hand corner lined up. Use your scissors to cut the bottom sheet along the line of the top paper. The bottom sheet will now be a square.
