In this session, we will focus our attention on what is 'going on' for our learners. Developing an authentic understanding of knowing where each of our students are at with their own learning journey is critical for us to provide the necessary support that will help them to thrive. This session also provides an opportunity for individual teachers to identify and establish possible data sets that can be used to focus on their learners as well as reflecting on curriculum delivery. Staff will engage in a range of activities designed to develop a clear understanding of student perspectives related to student engagement.

In this follow on session staff will continue with the theme of exploring student perspectives by undertaking a 'Ghost Walk' of our school's learning spaces. This will be done in the 'shoes' of a student and is designed to provide insights and seek evidence of student learning. Staff will record their findings to share back with the group. In doing so, staff will gain new insights into visible learning, empathy mapping and data collection that can be used to inform teaching practices.
