In Term 2, we will be developing some data harvesting tools to begin our own classroom Action Research Projects (ARPs). During Term 2, we will be exploring the following driving questions:
What does student engagement look like in our classrooms?
How can we measure student engagement?
How can we choose a classroom intervention to increase student engagement?
Term four is the time we are thinking, planning and designing learning programs for the following year. It is the ideal opportunity for us to investigate ways we can build expert learning qualities and plan for the expected variability across our learners, lowering or eliminating potential barriers and creating experiences that are "essential for some, good for all".
Advances in neuroscience are changing the learning landscape and have implications for us as teachers and parents in developing life-long learners.
To get us started a range of articles and videos have been selected for you to choose on this topic and are presented in the slide deck below. The articles and videos vary in length and content so you may need to explore more than one to get a better understanding.
