Welcome to our website. Updates are still on-going!
At Preston Lodge we are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported. Our school actively promotes diversity, equality, and respect through a range of initiatives, ensuring that every student, regardless of background, identity, or ability, can thrive in a welcoming and safe community.
Our dedicated Equalities Committee and Rights Respecting School Committee, which includes both staff and student representatives, plays a central role in advancing our commitment to equality and diversity. Working in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the nine protected characteristics of The Equality Act 2010, the committees develop policies and organise events that raise awareness of issues affecting underrepresented and marginalised communities.
Additionally, our LGBTQIA+ students and allies are relaunching our journey toward LGBT Charter Silver Accreditation, promoting a culture of acceptance and understanding throughout the school: a symbol of our school’s dedication to creating an inclusive and affirming environment for all students.
Our library is more than a place for reading and study; it serves as a safe, welcoming hub for students. With a selection of contemporary diverse books, resources, inclusive displays and student participation, the library reflects and celebrates the richness of our student community. We work to ensure that students of all backgrounds feel represented and acknowledged in this space, furthering our commitment to fostering an environment that respects and values diversity.
