Young Carers Service

Young Carers Service

What?  The Young Carers Service works with schools and other local authority and voluntary organisations to meet the requirements of the Carers Act (Scotland) 2016. It offers a range of awareness raising activities, provides information, advice and breaks for caring, and includes young carers in decision making. It also supports young carers to create a Young Carers Statement which is an assessment and action plan to ensure their caring role does not negatively impact their wellbeing. Young Carers registered with the service are able to access a range of benefits including free Enjoy Leisure passes, free Active Schools Activities, and the Young Scots Young Carers package. Young Carers can register by completing an Identification Questionnaire Select Questionnaire (vptol.co.uk)
