Sight Scotland in East Lothian (Visual Impairment Service)
What the Service Does: East Lothian Council has contracted Sight Scotland to provide education support to children and young people with vision impairment. This service is a peripatetic, term-time outreach service provided by a team of experienced Qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (QTVIs), Habilitation Specialists and Learning Support Staff. Habilitation aims to maximise the independence of a child or young person with a vision impairment by developing their personal mobility, orientation and independent living skills.
Age Range: From birth to school leaving age.
