Health Visiting Service 

What the Service Does: Health Visitors are registered nurses/midwives who have additional training in community public health nursing. They provide a professional public health service based on best evidence of what works for individuals, families, groups and communities; enhancing health and reducing health inequalities. This includes being responsible for delivery of a suite of developmental and wellbeing assessments, and ensuring that each child’s needs are met. 


Age Range: From birth to 5 years 


How to Access: All children are allocated a Health Visitor at birth, following the transition from Community Midwifery.
