Cyrenians
What the Service Does:
Cyrenians has been tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness for over 50 years, delivering sustainable interventions, and supporting people to build resilience and a future full of hope and security. We currently offer 63 different services, across 18 sites, and improve the life chances of over 10,000 people each year. Four of our services are national; our work in East Lothian includes:
Amber East Lothian – Offers support to families where a young person is on the cusp of care because of a relationship breakdown.
Asked to Leave+ With Circle - Funded by East Lothian Council, this service builds on existing services offered by Cyrenians (‘Asked to Leave’) and Circle (Whole Family Support), where a young person or family is at risk of homelessness. The strands to the project delivery are:
The Promise East and Midlothian - We offer mediation and support to young people in residential care settings (East Lothian) and those who are in kinship care (Midlothian).
Keeping Families Together with Cashback for Communities - Specifically targeted at children and young people aged 12+ who are living in Scotland’s four secure care centres and offers whole family support, with a particular focus on building positive relationships. We also deliver conflict resolution workshops in each of the secure care settings
Age Range: 5 –18 years
