Attendance
Please make sure all absences are entered into Alma beginning from your first day of class to current.
We have received confirmation that so long as your students are enrolled AND attending class before October 1st and attendance continues into October, those students can be counted for funding purposes.
Keep good attendance records! We STRONGLY suggest keeping an additional record of attendance outside of Alma.
Additional Notes
All Kindergarten students MUST be age 5 by 10/1 or there will not be eligible for funding
Confirm all students that are enrolled are actually active in your program.
If you have students who never showed up at all, that were with you last year, please inactiave them with the one day record from the first day of your school
If a student came for at least one day, please inactivate them as of the day they left your program.
If a student was never in your program - send us a dropbox file to DELETE them.
October Count overview timeline:
10/1: official Count day - but remember as long as the student is enrolled and attending prior to and after count day, you should be okay!
You do NOT need to hold class on October 1st for them to be counted.
mid-Oct: duplicates will begin popping up. Please respond quickly to all emails.
11/7: all duplicate funding documentation due for all remaining duplicate students
11/17: CDE auditing office makes decisions on duplicates
11/22: funded students finalized by CDE
During the last week of November or early December we will be sharing out the final numbers of funded & non-funded students per school/program. It's important we agree on those numbers and that's what I share with the schools noting that it is subject to change based on duplicate count decisions and I provide their potential duplicates so they know how much of a change that could be.
Duplicate Count phase:
This is a period when students are being reported in your district and another. We will guide you through this, but you will need to send a Confirmation of Enrollment form to the other district in order to confirm the student’s enrollment. Alternatively, you will also be asked by other districts to fill out COE forms for them as well.
We will be sending out many emails, especially regarding duplicate students being reported in another district.
We ask that you respond quickly and promptly to ensure a smooth process.
