  • The District Database gives you access to databases like GALE Virtual Reference Library and GALE Academic OneFile, good places to find sources

  • Digital library, provides free access to book chapters & articles from academic journals

  • If you are writing a research paper, this is an excellent resource for finding scholarly sources that will strengthen your paper (and bibliography)!

  • Creating a free account allows you to access 100 articles per month

  • For the most accurate search results, use the "advanced search" and try multiple searches using different keywords

  • If you can get to the UW library, connect to their internet; this gives you temporary access to an even wider range of sources on JSTOR (and enables you to download PDFs of them)

  • Digital library that offers free access to sources written before 1924 (many books after 1924 are not yet in the public domain as per US copyright laws)

  • Useful for finding online books, particularly primary sources

  • Typically less useful for topics that took place after the 1920s
