The Research Process

Whatever your research assignment, you need a process for how to tackle it. And while research assignments in different classes might look unrelated, at their cores they all have basic requirements that must be fulfilled in order to qualify as excellent scholarship. This chapter outlines a general process, using examples from English and science, that will help you think about your assignments. The key word here is “general”; to use this chapter well, you (possibly with the help of your teacher) need to adapt the process to your particular assignment.
