Learning is a partnership between the children, parents/whanau and the classroom teacher.
We know that the silver bullet for a child's success is what happens in the home.
Each classroom has its Learning Partnership Books. These are for all children and provide a means by which you can partner with your child and the classroom teacher to encourage essential numeracy and literacy learning. Activities that are part of the Learning Partnership Programme include:
Reading logs
Mathematics number knowledge learning (as per school programme)
Structured Literacy Activities
The activities with the Learning Partnership Book should match the ability of the child/ren as best as possible and as practical. Please talk with your classroom teacher if you have concerns about the learning partnership work.
