Leaving early

If you need to leave early, or you arrive late, your venue coordinator has information for late sign in and early sign out.  Find your venue coordinator.

The sign in/sign out sheets are in Dropbox.

Make sure your supervisor/principal knows that you had to take the time out. You will need to put in a leave form as is the normal practice in your school or sector (e.g. if you have the whole day off/half a day).

This is because attendance at, and participation in, Moderation Day is a requirement of teaching Senior Secondary Courses in the ACT.  From the P&P Manual:

All teachers of A, T, V or M courses at years 11 and 12 are required to attend Moderation Days and participate in the moderation process. (5.3.2.5)

If you are in a public school and covered by their EBA, guidelines for managing attendance at Moderation Days can be found in W9 (p.163).

Moderation Day is a time to see how your work and the work of your students compares to that of your colleagues and their students. Having this knowledge is vital to the continued success of the system. Thank you for your work and the time you put in to the portfolios; it is genuinely valued and valuable.
