MCSS has a strong Student Wellbeing team which operates on and across the High School and the College campuses. The Student Wellbeing program focuses on student learning by developing and maintaining close contact with our students and school community.
Here at MCSS, every year group has a Year Coordinator, an Executive teacher and Associate Principal to support students and liaise with parents and carers. In addition, we have a range of staff with specific expertise to support all students in Years 7-12. They include:
School Psychologist
School Youth Health Nurse
Youth Support Workers
Indigenous Education Officer
Wellbeing Support Worker
Primary Transition Officer
Transition and Career Officers
Safe and Supportive Schools Contact Officers
In addition to these onsite supports, MCSS work closely with local partners to help students connect with the community and services provided by them. Associated partners include Employment Plus, Menslink and Belconnen Community Services.
As you can see, we are very lucky here at MCSS with the amount of support services we have in place for our students.
