Magellan @ College is an extended learning opportunity for Year 10 students to study full-time at the college campus and participate in a range of college programs.
Students participate in both Year 10 classes and college classes, all taught at the college campus. The program makes available a number of college courses which can be studied as an accelerated learning option or as a Year 10 extension course.
Goals
The goals of the Magellan @ College program are:
To provide an extended learning option for gifted and talented Year 10 students
To allow Year 10 students to experience college, including the range of courses and assessment requirements, in a non-high stakes year
To offer a wide variety of courses and programs to motivate and challenge
