Interact

Interact is a club that brings together students so that they can take initiative in making a difference to our school and the globe. They focus on creating two projects during the year, one local to the school and one for another country or cause of their choice that's needs support. They also go on different excursions and camps

How does this activity promote student voice at CHS

Year 9 students are offered the chance to participate in the annual RYPEN camp. Places are sponsored by the Rotary E-Club of Brindabella. RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) is a 3 day camp program for Year 9 high school students. The aim is to communicate to these young people a series of ideas, problems and social experiences which will assist them in forming their own values and moral standards, and also to broaden their horizons culturally, socially and academically.

In the news

Congratulations to those Interact students who baked and served at the carnival stall. A big thanks also to anyone who bought some cakes and treats! As a result of yesterday's effort, the Interact Club raised $450 to be donated to the Syrian/Turkey earthquake appeal! - Atheletics Carnival 2023

Congratulations to the CHS Interact Club who, in 2022, were able to fundraise and donate over $1100 towards helping Ukrainian refugees. This was made possible through the work of many students and staff and our local Rotary branch. This picture shows Sarah Perrott and Sonia Simons handing over the donation to Beth and Ross from Rotary. The club is looking forward to an even more successful venture in 2023. New members are very much welcome.
