Bread Tag RECYCLING Event

Congratulations to the SDC/TK and 1st grade classrooms for collecting the most bread tags! Every TK student was gifted a sunflower seedling and SDC/1st graders were gifted a special "Earhart Blend" of wildflower seeds. We encourage our students and families to grow these over the summer and share your own progress pictures!

We also reached our school-wide goal of collecting 3 lbs of plastic breads tags! Congratulations, Earhart students and community!!

EARHART CELEBRATES BY DRIVING CHANGE!

The Garden Club has written a letter to a national bakery, Bimbo Bakeries USA, asking them to make the small change of switching from plastic to cardboard bread tags. From May 22nd to May 26th, the Garden Club will provide opportunity for students and their families to sign the letter as well as a poster-sized letter located on the school admin building (courtyard side). Please join us and let’s celebrate our achievements as a school by driving change!!

Not only are we keeping 3 lbs of single use plastic out of landfills and waterways, Danielle Cares for Chairs will use the funds from the recycled bread tags to purchase a wheelchair for a child in need! So many good things coming out of 1 small change! Congratulations and thank you, Earhart!!
