Creating Amazing Assessments
Andy Mitchell, Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES

How can we create as much energy and excitement around assessment as we feel in class during our very best lessons? By measuring students' skills and knowledge, not the standards. In this Schoology course, you will review unpacking standards and learn where to find performance level descriptors that make your standards visible. Then you will select a task model and write an item to measure your students' responses. Repeat these steps to create an engaging and informative assessment. [Inspired by Dr. Zach Warner's 12/2019 DATAG keynote.]
