“The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” - Aristotle
This covered the “Creativity” strand of CAS, where We stuck 2 large chart papers next to each other (on the wall of our art room) and began working on designing and sketching. The project gave all 14 of us a common excuse to unwind and express; hence felt greatly like a fun activity over a team requirement.
Poorvi Kharche of IBDP year 2 added another side to our mural’s purpose, “The mural which represented peace and war taught us that there’s always a good and bad side to every situation and in my opinion it is important to teach students about both sides as well.” She also found the ideas that came from the other 9 participant schools quite intriguing and interesting.
Overall, this was a challenging experience with a lot to learn about team spirit and persistence.
