If your child is going to be absent, please call the school attendance line before 9:15 a.m. /1p.m. or send an email to hwes_attendance@dublinschools.net. I'd appreciate if if you'd copy me on that email as well. Thanks!
Attendance - Curriculum requirements make our time together precious. In order to accomplish as much as possible we must make the most of each and every minute. Please avoid scheduling appointments and vacations during school hours. On the other hand, if your child is truly sick, please keep him/her home so as not to spread germs to other students. If they have a fever or are vomiting, please keep them at home. They need to be fever-free (without meds) for 24 hours before returning to school. Please record your child's absence in Infinite Campus if your child is going to be absent from school. State law requires that an automated phone call regarding your child’s absence be sent if we do not receive a written notification, either by Infinite Campus, email or parent note.
Planned Absences - If your child must be absent from school for a reason other than illness (funeral, etc.), please obtain a pre-excused absence form in the office or on the district website. I may also have work for your child to complete while gone, depending on the length of the absence. All work missed (that can be sent home) will come home with the child once he/she returns to school. Please understand that much of what is done in school is interactive and cannot be replicated at home.
Primarily used for remote learning. At this point there is no plan to use Google Classroom during the 25-26 schoolyear.
In order to access Google Classroom, you or your student first needs to go to google.com and log in with the student's Google Account (see above).
Once they are logged into Google, you can go to classroom.google.com to access Google Classroom.

I would recommend dressing in layers. Our temperature fluctuates and is not always consistent. Dressing in layers is the safest bet- they can always add when cold or remove when hot.
