Our students had so much fun creating their very own pet rocks and writing anarrative story with their pet rock as the main character! Our students took this experience to another level by turning their stories into an animated version of it using an app called Chatterpix. The students were able to answer their driving question by making their rocks talk and tell their story!Â

Our Chatterpix Stories
During our PBL unit on rocks and roil, the students learned about the attributes of rocks and soils, rocks and soils types, layers of soil and how rocks are formed just to name a few things. Our students even had the opportunity to explore the elements of art to create a backdrop for their digital stories. They communicated with experts, did research, and so much more! We are so proud of their hard work!Â
